It’s no secret that I love Public Radio’s This American Life. LOVE IT. I’m a couple of weeks behind in podcasts, so the episode I was listening to this morning on the bus was from 04.23.10 – “True Urban Legends.” Remember a few years ago when everyone was all hyped up about how cell phones would inevitably cause brain tumors and that we should be really careful about how long we keep them close to our heads? Well, apparently, there’s still great concern about that, especially in several European countries where people have actually destroyed cell towers. What?! Research is kind-of-sort-of divided, but it’s all pretty interesting. You can stream the episode here or on iTunes.
D and I started listening to Dean Koontz’s Seize the Night on CD during our roadtrip last weekend. We have a few hours left and I’ve got to know what happens. There are a couple other Christopher Snow books out there. (I think — I haven’t searched too much for fear of spoilers.) Anyway, we aren’t finished, but I’ve really enjoyed it so far.
